Your Privacy Rights Under the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA)

The California Online Privacy Protection Act, commonly known as CalOPPA, became the first law in the United States requiring commercial websites and digital services to display a privacy notice. Its scope extends beyond California, applying to individuals and businesses across the U.S. (and potentially worldwide) that manage websites collecting personally identifiable details from California residents. These websites must clearly outline what information is gathered, who it may be shared with, and ensure compliance with the disclosed practices. For additional details, please visit:

https://consumercal.org/about-cfc/cfc-education-foundation/california-online-privacy-protection-act-caloppa-3/

In compliance with CalOPPA, we follow these practices:

  • (a) visitors may browse our website without revealing their identity;
  • (b) our Privacy Policy page clearly contains the term “Privacy” and can be conveniently accessed from the designated section on our website’s homepage;
  • (c) users will receive notice of updates or modifications through our Privacy Policy section;
  • (d) users may request updates to their personal details by contacting us through email at support@attestpath.ai.

Our Approach to “Do Not Track” Requests: We respect Do Not Track preferences and refrain from monitoring activity, placing tracking technologies, or displaying advertising whenever a browser’s Do Not Track setting has been activated. This feature allows users to indicate through their browser that they prefer not to be monitored online.

You may switch the Do Not Track setting on or off by accessing your browser’s Settings or Preferences section.

Your Privacy Rights Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)

If you live in California, you have the right to understand what information we gather about you, request the removal of your data, and choose not to have your information shared or transferred. To make use of your privacy rights, you may submit specific requests and ask us for the following:

(a) Details regarding the personal data we maintain about you. Upon making such a request, we will provide:

  • (i) The types of personal data we have obtained about you.

  • (vii) A summary of categories of personal information shared for operational purposes, together with the category of any organization with whom the information was disclosed.

Please remember that you may request this information up to two times within any twelve-month timeframe. When responding to your request, the information we provide may only include personal data gathered during the last 12 months.

(b) Request removal of your personal information. If you submit this request, we will erase the personal information stored in our systems as of the date of your request and instruct affiliated service providers to take similar action. In certain situations, deletion may occur by anonymizing the information instead. Please be aware that removing your personal information may limit access to some features that rely on this information to function properly.

(c) Request that your personal information not be shared. We do not trade, lease, or distribute your personal information to outside organizations for any reason. Your Personal Data belongs solely to you, and you may request access to or removal of it whenever you choose.

Please be advised that requesting deletion of your information or restricting data sharing may affect your experience with our services, and some programs or member-related features may no longer be available if personal information is required for operation. However, we will never treat you unfairly or deny services because you exercised your legal rights.

To submit a request regarding your California privacy rights described above, please contact us through one of the following methods:

By email: support@attestpath.ai

The privacy protections explained above are governed by the CCPA, also known as the California Consumer Privacy Act. For additional information, please visit the official California Legislative Information website. The CCPA became effective on 01/01/2020.
